If we can get four points from our next two games we would be half-way to the point-a-game target that normally is the relegation safety line. Certainly Norwich and West Brom are tougher games than they may look on paper but confidence will be high and I think we could get a draw and a win from those two matches. Your thoughts?
I think what is key they are not must wins as we have points on the board. This takes the pressure of us and enables us to continue to play in the right way. Also i reckon this year mid 30's will be enough. Top teams keep winning that has not happended in seasons where 40 was needed. I would take one win from the next two games. 18 pts from 14 games keeps us in a great position.
I'd be happy with 5 points from these 2 and Sunderland at home, even 3 points from those three matches wouldn't be a disaster.
4 points would be great, 3 good and even 2 won't be a disaster. If we can get 20 pts by the half way mark I think that's an awesome achievement (we're only 5 pts away!) considering our depth and sets us up nicely for the second half. Whenever the teams at the top pull away you'll find a few struggle more than most at the other end. Which is why I think 40 pts is more than enough this season. Also, if we strengthen in Jan, I'd certainly expect to pick up more points in the second half of the season than the first.
Yes...think the second half of the season will be better. More winnable home games and remember how unprepared we were when the season started against Bolton.
I think the key is to remain unbeaten over the next couple of games - so another 2-4pts would being a good return. Hopefully this will allow us to rescue the A&E deptment at harlington, while keeping our forward momentum. If we strenghten properly in Jan, can we dare to dream of a top ten finish. One thing is for sure, no team will want to play us over the next couple of weeks. Not many teams will get something at Stoke this season Up the R'sssssssssssss
I just won't predict unbeaten runs. A win from next 2 would be fine. Anything more and I'll start getting carried away. Less would not be a disaster due to us having a decent points total (although a bit of comfort before Liverpool and United would be handy). Just keep up the fine performances lads!
Norwich have been turning in genuinely impressive performances and are afraid of no one. West Brom have recovered well after a shakey start. Both are mid-table (like us) and neither will roll-over for us.
We could easily end up with just 1 point from the next two games. Could easily lose at Norwich and West Brom are not going to be the push-overs some people seem to think.
