So who else is happy with our start? I am , still undefeated and seem to have a solid core of a side and have signed a proven scorer at this level. whats your thoughts.
Ok, providing we get more CBs and CFs and get rid of Cesar. i wont be happy if we go into the season with 3 CBs or 3 CFs.
Happy that we've shown the grit to come back from being a goal down twice to get points. The performances have been decent. I'm a bit concerned at how well the injury-prone, aging players will do over a long season and how much our squad has shrunk but otherwise happy.
Ask me at the end of the month after we have played Bolton and Leeds away. If we are still unbeaten then, I will agree we have started well. I think the top teams in this league will take 6 points off Huddersfield.
Doesn't always work like that, can average out over a season. Last year despite how dire and beatable we were we still managed to take points off Chelsea and Spuds.
I always average it out, 7 points will be expected after the next game, 9 at the end of the month so theres always a points tally of where I think we should be. 4 was the minimum at this point.
Far too early to get excited or disappointed for any team. Would have bitten your hand off for this a month ago though.
not bad but lets face it if we donât get promoted this season its going to be a failure and next season even more players will leave and it will be another summer of rebuilding. This is are best chance
It is a league don't forget. Wigan put their marker down with a 4 nil win 1st day and Watford with a 6:1 this w/e gone. I'm ok with our start but other teams have come off the blocks with a much better start. Strangely enough, when I was out jogging last Saturday I thought if I wanted an accumulator on the SBC, I would go Wigan as Champions, Watford 2nd and QPR via the play offs. BTW, slow starters don't always do badly! The Lightening Bolt is often not the quickest but does 'ok' in the end!!
There are plenty of teams that make flying starts who fall away. Look at who Wigan and Watford were playing before making them odds-on...
Accepted Sooper. I was just a tad concerned at not beating Huddersfield even though we were away. Obviously home form is critical but we do have to win some away games to be up there towards the end of the season. Watched the recorded FLS and I see SWP had a cracking shot to go from zero to hero in the dying seconds. oh well.
On a sobering note, Wolves had 7points from their first three games but sunk without trace two years ago in the PL
