So McDermott has stated we currently have 4 offers on the table for 4 players!

Who do we think/hope these players are guys?

I'd be happy with Waraba and Thomas as 2 of them!

Sharp or Beckford, I can live with either of those being our first signing. Depending on what's happening with Hall, we need some genuine width. White will work if someone can teach him how to get to the byline and pull a ball back. Maybe Bryam right side of midfield might also work. But a genuine winger who will start games is probably what we really require.

Fair enough Josh. But White does give us something you can't train or improve on, & that's pace. Having said that, it is about time White showed more of why we should keep him & how he's developed. Given that we'll probably be playing more footy & less hoofball this season, maybe White can finally show us what he's made of.

Hope you're not suggesting we should dig up Chris Whye? <laugh>

We've been asking that for years. He's only shown promise as a left back in that he can keep up with wingers, going forward he's awful.

Why do we keep banging on about wingers all the time. Tell me how many wingers O'Leary used when we were good. I can only think of 2 off the top of my head & never at the same time. We seemed to do ok without wingers then, didn't we?

Probably because our most recent team to be worth watching had lots of wingers. Gradel and Snodgrass were the notable names.

Sanchez Watt was a good winger for us in League 1 as well!

We keep going on about wingers because getting to the byline and crossing a ball in gets goals! Also in my opinion wingers are the best footballers to watch, skill, pace and power is what we need.

It's also entertaining to watch Leeds tear teams apart, which is what happens when you have wingers and strikers drawing defenders out of position, taking players on and forcing mistakes.

Loved watching the 10/11 side tear teams to shreds.

Fecking hell, I'd better get out some old vhs tapes. I'm ancient and still struggling to remember us tearing anything apart

I only count 1 Jason Wilcox. Kewell was a forward. McPhail,Bowyer and Bakke were CMs from what I recall

Can't disagree that it was great to have them in the team, but it was in League 1. Championship is a bit more difficult. If you've got 2 wingers, that's 2 less in midfield/forward positions. Unless your strikers are excellent & central midfielders are out of this world, then you'll be destroyed by loads of teams in the Championship.

Btw, 2 is not 'lots' !!

Sorry, disagree. Occasional glimpse of excellence & 98% doing bugger all. Awfully inconsistent & has done nothing since at any level (I've said it now without checking - you'll probably be able to provide mountains of evidence that he's set the heather alight somewhere, & tear me a new one!). <laugh>

Can't disagree, but in an ideal world! I love watching wingers too. My most favourite player ever was Jimmy Johnstone - the first British winger ever to pick up a European Cup winners medal. Even better than George Best!
