...didnt think I would ever be able to say that about qpr wins this season, but 4 home wins on the trot!

A superb performance from every single player yesterday - albeit we did hang on at times. Tactics once again spot on and you could see how organised we were. Every player gave 100%, and that is all you can ask - but yesterday it worked a treat! The Spurs defence was shaky at best, and our quick closing down of Friedel clearly caused tenson and confusion in their ranks.

From the very outset it was clear our tactic was to do this, but also attack Assou-Ekotto - I wonder if he is still in Mackies pocket now? :)

Also, great to meet up with QPR999 again yesterday, good to see you mate.

We were sat right where Bale came into the crowd aswell - he copped a fair bit of abuse for that, and was very brave to come into the crowd!

KENNY - 8 - some top saves which kepts us in it and commanded his area well - especially in comparison to Friedel!

TAIWO - 9 - MOM - superb game and kept Walker and Lennon in the second half very quiet. Clearly a passionate guy aswell - his celebration in front of the loft at the end was brilliant. Liking him more with each game.

HILL - 8 - a rock once again. has had a teriffic season, and my POTY. Superb.

FERDINAND - 7 - a little shaky at times but overall did what was needed. Kept defoe quiet.

ONUOHA - 7 - same as Ferdinand - a couple of scary moments, but cant complain with his performance.

BARTON - 8 - chased their midfield all night and never gave up. starting to put in performances that we signed him for.

DIAKITE - 9 - as with taiwo - im liking him more and more. has this brilliant knack of being able to suddenly open up space and go on a massive run. still dont know how he manages it! will be a great player for us if we can stay up.

DERRY - 8 - same as barton - chased all night and never gave in. was right in their faces.

TAARABT - 8 - great free kick - although i thought friedel should have done better with it. was at his most threatening all night. only sour point was the sending off. stupid rule though.

MACKIE - 8 - had ekotto in his pocket all night. was constantly pressuring him and forcing mistakes. a crucial part to the win.

ZAMORA - 7 - up top on his own and was always going to be difficult but he missed one great chance, and fluffed two opportunities when he was running clear on goal. hold up play was decent and used his experience to run it into the corner at the end.

    SUBS:

BUZSAKY - 7 - did what was needed and provided some fresh legs in the middle of the park. had a couple of shots but fluffed them.

Overall, we were pinned back at times, but we defended superbly and looked organised at all times. Starting to really reap the benefits of Hughes now.

One point I will say, whilst Taarabt by the letter of the law deserved to be sent off - Battenberg almost forgot he was already booked! And 30 seconds earlier he failed to book Parker for a clear dive! As usual, refs are so inconsistent.

Great win, now onto the Scum!

    Do you know what?
And this is not an anti Swans and Norwich thread but...

I am getting a bit P'd with all the media saying about how well they have done in the prem and it seems that they are the only 2 of the promoted teams that have done well. Now i know they have done well with limited budgets and are higher than us but...
None of them can booast about beating Arse, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea at home?

I think its a bit unfair of the media not to mention our great results.
For me all 3 teams have done well in this division because we all have our own set of circumstances.

Good post Judo, it was good to see you as always. I will pop down from the Upper Loft and say hello at half-time v Stoke, that's if I don't bump into you at 'The Bridge. ' All the best mate.

Agree with that. I was surprised to check in this morning and not see more accolades for Ferdinand on here. He was solid throughout and most significantly managed to keep Ledley King in check at set pieces which was a massive factor in our success. Definitely my MOTM (9) although I do agree Mackie (8) was outstanding in his usual terrier role.
