I don't think it is worth the risk of these four bringing Covid into the squad ahead of Peterborough match through meeting numerous fans in an enclosed space. How many kids will go regardless of symptoms to meet their heroes? Yes I know Omnicron is less bad a version of Covid but thats not the main point here.
I'm triple jabbed, soon to be quadruple, but now we have to get back to living a normal life. (Door wide open for daft **** Hatem)
I agree about the normal life but there's no reason to be reckless at this point in the season. We've got a dozen crucial games coming up, an outbreak of covid in the squad really wouldn't help our cause! I'm triple-jabbed, caught it last week, wife caught it off me soon after. No big deal in our case but that's us needing to isolate or at least be careful/responsible for a week or 2. If it was to go round the dressing room we could be missing key players for 3, 4 or 5 matches.
I think it does matter though. The need to isolate ends this week, there'll be hundreds of infected people going about their business in a 'normal' manner, if you haven't had it before there's a good chance you'll get it in the next few weeks! I just think it's worth a bit of caution on behalf of the club to keep the players out of harms way until the end of the season or until we're mathematically safe.
It does matter if club and players are not thoughtful about the new and immediate higher risk of getting the virus from infected people being free to mix and walk about. Even with a mild dose I would not expect anyone to be fit enough to play at a professional level.
