With us seemingly hitting some good for now, we have 4 games for the rest of the year which, on there own all seem winnable. But can we realistically win them all? Watford v Leeds (A) - Win Leeds v Reading (H) - Draw Derby v Leeds (A) - Win Barnsley v Leeds (A) - Win If we are pushing for autos, we really do need to pick up 9 or 10 points from these games, if barnsley continue there form they could be a real challenge but i cant see it, I think Reading will be the hardest game of the lot, especially with Derby falling down the league. How many points do YOU think we can get??
Watford v Leeds (A) - Win Leeds v Reading (H) - Win Derby v Leeds (A) - Win Barnsley v Leeds (A) - Draw
We have to win the home matches and a point away is always good, three a bonus. With the next 4 being just the one home game we need at least 6 points but we have a habit of losing games we shouldn't. Looking at the table now you can't help wish we could replay the home matches against Blackpool, Barnsley and even Coventry. Looking at other fixtures, a lot of the top 8 are playing each other Boro have Brighton and Cardiff then Hull, if we do get 6 points from the next four I feel it 'might' be enough to keep us in the playoffs, personally I hope for 9
Watford v Leeds (A) - Win Leeds v Reading (H) - Win Derby v Leeds (A) - Win Barnsley v Leeds (A) - Win No problemo!
I see where your coming from, i didnt even think to check on other teams around us, there next games but if they do have tough games. Surely that makes these relatively easier games more important, we can really close em down and try to start challenging the 2nd spot or at least push us more into the play-offs
Fou games back I posted we needed six wins from next eight, looking at our upcoming fixtures then. We got three out of the first four so Id settle for three wins in next four as well. Realistically, with the ground we have to make up, well probably need three from every four matches from now till season end if you get my meaning
Yea i get what you mean but to get promoted, you do genuinely need to average 2 points a game over the season, so if we want promotion thats what needs to be done
Well I hoped for 6 points and we have 1 and the maximum possible is now 4. Had we managed 6 points total we would have been assured to still be sitting in a play off spot no matter the Barnsley result. Should we lose to Barnsley and with Hull playing Burnley we will either be looking at a Hull team we beat with ease pulling away into the distance or we could find ourselves in 9th ot 10th chasing an even larger pack.
