2 up top means we lose the midfield battle and look more vulnerable when the opposition play 4-5-1 but we did create a hatful of chances today and last week against WBA. 1 up front means we don't offer enough of a threat going forward but look far harder to break down? I think a lot of fans have become hung up on this debate and my answer remains the same. Its not tactics and formations that win games its players. Ours are all a much of a muchness and lack any pace and guile therefore we are struggling with 1 up front and 2 as well. We are still 4 or 5 players short of being comfortable with either formation imo and this needs to be addressed this summer.
Graham and Fletcher are too similar in the way they play mate we need a fast poacher on the pitch with either of those two up top. If we had a good CM who could hold the ball up and pass it preferably to one of our own players that would be half the battle at present we don't, this causes problems in the middle and puts the defence under unnecessary pressure. Happy with the formation today although I think it was forced on MON with the injuries when we get Catts and Rose back (is he still with us by the way?) then we'll be back to one up top again.
Big up FFS man. You can disagree all you want but don't get all touchy as **** when someone tells you your opinion is ****?
so is being big being abusive, your the one being touchy , i would not call your opinion **** because i see it different than you
I'll get my baby mittens out when dealing with in the future then sweetie, as I didn't realise you were such a sensitive little soul.
4-4-2 will not work if colback and Gardner are at full back. How many times did Johnson get down the wing only to be doubled up on, Colback was still on the half way line when a left back would have been overlapping. Gardner does a slightly better job of getting forward but was badly exposed in defence. 4-4-2 wont work either with our current crop of centre midfielders. Thought it before we signed it and having seen them play together i think it even more, fletcher and Graham are too similar
451 for me. Play Fletch as 2nd striker and keep Sess on the right, DG 1st striker and AJ on the left. recall CW Nothing is going to keep us from conceding mind you. we just don't have the resources.
