With the injury to Bruce do we have to go back to 4 4 2?

The display by Rosy yesterday certainly means we will be solid. I would love to see Andy Dawson back in at LB but the years may have caught up with him.
As the wheels seem to have fallen off a bit with our attacking play and only Brady and Quinny offering any forward thrust I would like to see Brady LM and Quinny in the CM with Meyler and Elmo on the right.
    Boyd and Simmo up front.

    Stocky
    Rosy Chezzy Faye ?????
    Elmo Meyler Quinn Brady
    Boyd Simmo

Couldn't get up North yesterday unfortunately, but I'm intrigued to see you're not including Fathi there Chazzter. What are those that went's thoughts on him? I was genuinely impressed with him at Palace, and was hoping Bruce's injury might have a silver lining in that we get to see more of him.

He looked very good, won the ball back, helped break up play, covered back and set up two counter attacks with two good simple passes, one of them outside of his boot, and even got forward, he he has to play next game for me

He did well when he came on claps. But you wouldn't put him in over those 4 in a midfield. If he can play LB put him in., just would be great for Daws to go out on a high.

It was strange he came on and went in the middle of a five man midfield. But then Brucey pushed him wide left and made Quinn slot in in between Elmo and Evans. Weird

    Fathi can play LB.
442 Got to be the way to play, Elmo and Brady would be released to play more attacking.

I think we were aiming to have him fit for the bench, whatever that means.

Koren has been pap recently and I think SB was right what he said Gedo was running on adrenaline.

Can't see anything but this for Ipswich:

    Stockdale
    Rossie - Chester - Faye - Brady
Elmo - Meyler - Koren - Quinn (played all of last season as lm for United)
    Boyd - Simpson

Ipswich haven't scored many recently but have kept 5 clean sheets in a row, so I'd keep Koren there for that game to try and unpick there defence instead of playing Evans or Fathi who should play against Wolves

For those who've watched his international and World Club chapionship performances last December on video leaving Fathi out of the side in favor of Bruce in MF was a joke. The outside of the boot defense splitting pass is a basic part of his game and no one on our club can do it with the regularity he does. He has good speed and like Meyler he loves to get forward and has a killer shot. Defensively he's a great tackler too.

I'd like to see us go like this in a 3-5-2 if Gedo's foot has healed.

    Stockdale
    Chester Faye Rosenior
    Elmo Fathi Meyler Quinn Brady
    Gedo Boyd

4-4-2 drop Fathi to RB behind Elmo

Apart from the fact it wasn't just Bruce who you can't seem to stop mentioning. We've played 13 games since Fathi arrived and Bruce was in midfield for less than half of them, and mostly came off when he did play.
SB has preferred everyone to Fathi.

That's what I think it'll be, I'd probably play Fathi instead of Koren though.
