Yes, it could, but I'd move Marveaux and Obertan forwards to make it a 4-2-3-1 and allow the 3 to interchange

It's too defensive. We cannot sit back vs Everton. They have too much power. Our best bet is to go forward and attack.

    That doesn't really work though.

If you're playing Ben Arfa you've just gotta play 4-3-3, he offers little to the defence.

    We should play 4-2-1-3.

3 forwards, 1 attacking mid, 2 defensive mids. The 2 defensive mids will always be back to defend, so the wingers wont have to track back as much.

It would be better if we did 4-3-3 in possession, 4-5-1 out of possession <ok>

As much as everyone here is in surprising agreement that only one of Ba/Cisse should start, and as much as that is what I'd do, I think Pardew'll start them both and bring off Ba around 70 mins as per. Probably for Obertan. It's a shame because I think Marveaux really has talent and would do well for us in the league. He might have to do it in the Europa and domestic Cups instead, though. It is a squad game I guess!

i see what your saying but everton are a quick attacking, Top side.

2 strong outlets who in ba and bennie or bennie and cisse is my pick.

No point getting out your half to come back more then you need :)

If Tiote was here, I'd disagree, but sadly he isn't, so I probably agree, playing 4-3-3 wouldn't be ideal.

But at the end of the day, they have beasts up front that can batter us from long balls, so we're not safe.

If we played that, it would defo be a 4-4-1-1 and Ben Arfa would be far too limited.

I think the crucial thing for the team is the ****ing linkup play. As long as we fix that, no matter 4-4-2 , or 4-3-3 both would work. We gave away the ball a horrible amount of times during our games because of poor frontman play. Kinda makes you wish we had Amy back.

    1: 4-2-3-1
    2: 4-3-3
3: Any other formation that would compromise the teams standards.
