Not had the benefit of watching you lot much this year, but are you at the point you want Monk sacked? Think it would be a real shame to lose another young manager, but has he been that bad?
I reckon young managers like Sherwood and Monk should have started at a lower level (the bottom 2 divisions) and earned it....earned and learned, learned and earned.
2/1 Brendan Rodgers next permanent club Swansea. 8/13 Monk next manager out. PP odds Edit.......Now 1/3
Lucien Favre would be an excellent appointment. If it were to happen though the board would have to make it clear to some of the "senior players" (those that have been here a long time) that he is in charge and anyone who doesn't like his methods/training can **** off to another club.
Lucien Favre – 11/1 "Without doubt the most appealing of those yet to sample Premier League football, Favre oversaw Borussia Monchengladbach’s revival from Bundesliga basement boys to Champions League qualifiers in just four years. The Swiss supremo’s exploits were no fluke either, for he also steered penniless Hertha Berlin, whose star player was Liverpool flop Andriy Voronin, to a fourth-place finish in the same division before moving to Monchengladbach."
The football deteriorated when he took over but the results improved. The football has continued to deteriorate but now so have the results. Makes for very painful viewing.
As for Rodgers, I wouldn't want him back here, think we have moved on since then. However if he was to come back then he should be banned from all press conferences.
How the loving **** is Tim Sherwood one of the favourites, my ST would be going straight back if HJ even considered him.
Indeed Last thing we want is another journeyman or short term club hopper. If Monk does go it's a fantastic opportunity to get in a quality manager who'll take us on to the next level.
Monk is on borrowed time, and everything is in place for change if he fails against Bournemouth.................
