Glad that the tour is going ahead, I'm actually in the states at the time but can't make the swans games http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2816094,00.html
I lived there for some time musty, I enjoyed it mate. We are in Florida for a fortnight so quite some distance from California
I lived there for a year on exchange with the us navy back in 1977.that is when i fell in love with america and their way of life. I have been there loads of times and if i was a lot younger i would emigrate there without any hesitation....fantastic place to live and was only there a few months back.i love it......I will be there watching all three games as the wife shops ...cant wait...
to be truthful i did not like austrailia much, Its not somewhere that i would choose to live....sorry....NZ was great and would be my second choice...
Got to go on a U.S. Submarine on a sort of exchange in Nanaimo British Columbia in 1970 Dai . We brought some of the U.S. submarine guys to our Canadian ranges to fire weapons & they asked a few of us if we would like to go out in the sub . WOW !!! .. Soon as we went under water I knew it was a huge mistake on my part . Takes a special person to be a submarine guy I guess ! Ever go to a navy base called Naden in Esquimalt on Vancouver Island Daiswan , I was stationed a few miles from there at the time
NZ is a beautiful country, going back for the 3rd time on a cruise in oct-nov, where in aust did u go and if you say sydney or melbourne i understand ur feelings

Sydney is a much better city than Brisbane imo. Sydney's harbour is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. 28 beaches in the metropolitan area alone. I loved living there. 9 months in San Francisco didn't compare to be honest. Still hard to beat the Gower though.
i have been to sydney many times and would rate adelaide, canberra and perth better than sydney, only cap city worse is melbourne
