The europa looks very winnable. Top 4 very achievable, considering we nearly made it last year and where absolutely awful. City will wander to the title without much effort. The following pack look average, any team putting a decent run together will be there.
Looking at the teams currently in the EL, we must be considered favourites, of course you don't know what will drop out of the CL
Not really, Looking at the champions league groups, the usual suspects will progress, there's no real group of death. I've no fear of any of the likely teams to drop out.
I think we can make top 4. City and maybe Arsenal top 2. I think we can be best of the rest along with Brighton. Newcastle, Man U and particularly Chelsea don't seem to be at the races.
would love to see Brighton achieve that but do not see it. they have 1 game a week right now and a nice set of games so the real tests are still to come. we by contrast have a club of "top half" opponents at the outset of the season and a win today would mean 10/12 points including 2 away results against the magnificent 7 rivals.
Eŭropa league is winnable, but impossible to predict a "win" because good teams lose against lesser teams all the time. Definitely no guarantee, and there are definitely teams in there who can give us a challenge.
Midseason: Upgrading my prediction from 4th to 3rd. I know we're currently top, but with AFCON and Injuries I can see us dropping points. We won't finish January top of the table even if that's how we're starting it. Would require quite the collapse to finish below 4th now. Europa still possible, but still no guarantee.
