.. the rest of the season seems like a lap of honour. The icing on the cake would would be to beat Man U or Liverpool - or both! <party>

The way this season has gone I wouldn't rule anything out.

I went to Wigan, praying for a point because if we lost we were likely to face 4 defeats on the trot (with Man City up next).

Having beaten Wigan I went to the Man C match relaxed because we had 3 pts in the bag and I would have been happy with a narrow defeat and a good performance against the Worlds richest Club. We won - and won well in my opinion.

I went to Fulham expecting a torrid afternoon. We played them off the park.

It has been the greatest fortnight in Swans history as far as I am concerned.

What happens next - who knows!!

Well we're approx 3/4 in to the season and looking good but given the prize money at stake we can't take the foot off the pedal even if we are more or less safe. We've got 3 of the bog teams left in Spurs, Man Utd and Liverpool and it would be nice to get another big scalp

I fancy us to beat Liverpool, that will stick it up alot of the norweigans i work with, not sure about Man utd, we could go there and frighten them but i think they have the bit well and truely between their teeth by the time we come to town, a heroic defeat maybe, thing is nothing suprises me anymore and predicting games is like trying to nail Jelly to the ceiling !!

Best thing is to now enjoy every single moment of swans football for the rest of the season, i havent enjoyed the games this year like i normally would because everyone is just massive in terms of survival and pressure, but now we are safe it is actually starting to sink in that we have done an amazing job !! i thought many times this season when we lost against the likes of Sunderland and Everton and blackburn that htese teams were **** all, i was shouted down by some, saying that these are teams are better, somebody said that Villa are top 8 when i moaned that we were a much better team and they just kicked and played crap football, i feel we have proven to be equal to alot of these teams and we should never treat them with too much respect while we are competing for points, im just so proud of the team and our fans it really is the best time to be a jack and hopefully the club has changed forever and for the better <ok>

Amen to all of that, Norway. I'm beginning to believe that we are here to stay for the long term.

We are here to stay lads, and step by step we will build on this season, but like the championship when we survived the first season, look out for all the doommongers, prophesying our second season syndrome demise! Mostly in Blue.................. <laugh>

norway jack, you're 100% right, teams like aston villa etc cant keep the ball for ****, and their coach isnt exactly the sharpest tool <ok>

you've got 4 games in april vs QPR, blackburn, bolton and wolves. now i watched wolves get thrashed 5-1 against albion, and they hit rock bottom that day, probably the worst display of any side this season, and since then they've stayed at that pitiful level, they were frankly, awful against united yesterday, and if you played them next week it would be 6/7-0. blackburn arent very good, we proved that, bolton deserve to be where they are and QPR have been average this season <ok>

"Blackburn aren't very good,we proved that".

If my memory is correct, Cardiff beat Blackburn in a one-off Carling Cup tie, which hardly qualifies you to be able to "prove" anything.

What that result did "prove",however,is that a Lower League team, like Cardiff, can beat a Premier League team, like Blackburn, in a Cup tie, and, since we all know that's always possible, what exactly are you trying to "prove"?

In all fairness, I thought Swamp was putting in a decent enough constructive contribution....

Maybe you're right When, but,I'm not convinced. His Blackburn comment was a bit arrogant and un"prove"n,but that's only my opinion.

Cracker was suggesting 50 points a couple of months ago and i thought he was being far too optimistic, but it looks like it could now be a distinct possibility!

Wouldn't it be great to get something from Old Trafford - especially if it meant another twist in the title race :)

Absolutely, we're on here to offer our humble opinions. Generally found Swamp to be one of the better bloobs, so don't mind reading his posts!! Certainly not defending, but think if the roles were reversed (heaven forbid) & we'd knocked them out of the cup, we might offer a similar opinion. Afterall they gave us (Blackburn) a right going over!! Hopefully, we'll correct that at the Liberty, Vetch..... <cheers>
