Until your first match of the season. Take-over, new manager, new players (with time to get up to speed). So how far through the process do you think you'll be? It seems as though Short is extending the time for prospective owners but even if they come in now you'd think they need at least a couple of weeks for it to go through then another delay to get a manager. I can see this dragging on, big time for you guys. If next season is just about consolidation then it doesn't really matter if it takes all summer as it's just a case of getting it right. We will learn a lot about the future of SAFC in the next two months, not just for the season ahead but for the next few years. Players currently being lined up to be sold but not much coming in. Write your team for the first match of the season on a *** packet please... Sort of exciting really. Oh and terrifying. That too.
I think we've stopped caring, mate. Glad you seem to be stepping in for us, though. Your concern and fascination with our club is deeply touching.
Echo the thoughts of 83 above really. Not much we can do until the takeover is finalised either happening or not happening. How long till your first game of the season just out of interest? Rumours that Rafa will walk, no players incoming, awfully poor team etc etc. You're bang in the ****, just as we are.
We start every season in a state of disarray and this one will be no different. I think we'll have a decent manager in place after the takeover but the squad will be all over the place and so will our performances be.
Impossible to name a starting line-up or anything until the sale of the club is finalised, If and when we do sell it can only be a season of consolidation. As it would have been if Moyes had stayed, very pleased to see the back of him and welcome a change of ownership. I also welcome the German interest as they seem to do things the right way, would be nice if Max Arnold is our first signing.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1984, despite being the underdog Daniel LaRusso defeated Johnny Lawrence and the Cobra Kai with Mr. Miyagi's help to win the Under-18 All-Valley Karate Tournament.
I think the importing thing to remember is Danial LaRusso failed to reach the belt requirement to actually compete in the said Under-18 All-Valley Tournament. It was in fact Mr Miyagi lying on entry forms and stealing a fellow competitor's belt which saw him into the competition to rob the rightful winner, Johnny Lawrence of the Cobra Kai of his victory.
Bloody shocking I didn't realise that. I always knew all Dannys were kunts. He more than redeemed himself with that Crane kick though. I've tried and failed it many a time in confrontation. I need to practice it more on the beach.
As soon one leg comes up the other one would just be booted away and ya head stamped on, but that's street fighting lol Bri and @Teessidemakem Good banter that. It give me a giggle that I needed.
Watching this i can see where ive been going wrong. I dont bend my wrists far enough. Im off to Mcdonalds now to try it out on somebody.
Practice on the drive thru menu while you wait for someone to turn up, see if you kick Ron's head off.

Apathy is hard to argue with at the moment. Felt the same last year, it's not just getting relegated it's knowing that some of the people who are at fault are going to run off to good wages elsewhere whilst the fans are left with the remains. I'm not sure if some thought I was wumming but I'm going to post anyway as I'm bored, there's nothing going on in football that interests me at the moment and it is a forum after all... You're a big fish in that pond now and you've got to expect (or hope) that investors are going to realise that. Ashley runs us like a business and as such saw the benefit of a safe(ish) level of speculation. I think you're more likely to follow how Villa have done and rebuild over a couple of seasons but long-term is more important and I think you'll be back in the Premiership in a couple of years and for another good length of time. As for Newcastle I've no idea. At the moment the silence is deafening. I'm not convinced Rafa is on the verge of leaving as the only sources I've seen have been dubious at best and there are no quotes or information from people actually in the know just hacks. My suspicion is that as we're not providing any worthy news that in itself is being used to create a story. There was a fantastic headline in (I think the Sun but I'd need to check) saying our pursuit of Reina had hit a stumbling block as his agent confirmed we haven't made an offer. If we don't sign at least a few first teamers we're going down next season. We probably need 4-5 to be competitive and the amount of money people are going for that's more than I can envisage Ashley shelling out. I can see us being similar to you last year and spending half of what we need to. We NEED a CB with experience (even Jagielka would probably do), a defensive Midfielder, a winger and a goal-scorer (I'd go for Batshuayi on loan even if we have to pay a chunk of millions just to loan him). One of the most annoying things at the moment is the farming of talent by the top top clubs which the rest of us cannot compete with, a player like Nasri isn't getting games for Man City and it costing them millions but we're not going to be able to get close to him. That's the game now and it sucks.
Clearly the majority here want Mr Miyagi as our new manager, especially as he can cheat so effectively. I'll accept any management skill that would allow us to win a few games.
