We have less than 36 hours left of the transfer window.

Less than 36 hours of nail-biting; hoping we wont lose any first team players.

Will Pompey's squad enter February fully intact?

Who knows devo ?! Depends if Ipswich increase their offer to something sensible for Ward & Pearce, or if another team who are equally as desperate make a last gasp bid,....................or if The 'Man From Atlantis' coughs up lots of "filthy lucre" at the last minute to save the day :bandit:

Apparently Ryan Williams is at Fulham's training ground today with a deal being done for £500k.

Selling ourselves short there - what a brilliant young prospect he is.

Let us hope we include a decent sell on clause of at least 50% if we let him go.

He's going and if it means we can survive a little longer without losing too many first teamers then it has to be.

There's a triple bid of over 1.7m for Ward,Pearce and Henderson from the Tractor Boys now, but it could include Leadbitter coming the other way. Not ideal, but beggars can't be choosers I think the old cliche goes.

According to a statement Lampitt made, CSI were going to put in £3m cash as that is the amount we need to the end of the season and that appears to be the amount we need to raise. Okay if funds given upfront but all these phased payments won't help much.

Sell-on clauses are a MUST if we sell younger players! In our current position we need to hold on to a squad capable of (comfortably) staying in the Championship, but, if needs must, it would be an investment of sorts if we (reluctantly) sold such players.

Really hope that doesn't happen. Ripping the heart out of our back line. Deadline can't come soon enough.

If Pompey don't sell anyone then it is a huge risk for the club, especially is there is no buyer in the waiting!

With very little money coming in and Pompey possibly not being able to pay players or tax man this month it really is at breaking point now.

PFL, think it was pure cash up front with OXO. We had sell on clauses with old Rupes, and then cashed them in for peanuts when times were even harder.

Hendo has just tweeted "feet up, phone off and sleep" - loads of responses asking him to leave his phone off until 11pm tomorrow. That reminds me of 1 year ago when Dave Nugent did the same thing.

Well I agree it would be the best way, but you need the maximum cash and are not in a strong position if clubs know that.

Sorry but some of you guys need to get to grips with the fact that your best players need to be sold ASP ,
Forget any pride on league status and except the fact paid bills now gives your club more respect and possibly longer for to find a good owner, Lampitt has done your club no favours

We're not in a position to influence anything SP - all we can do is bemoan the worst and laugh at the rest of it.

Not sure Lampitt has particularly done anything wrong though, he didn't introduce CSI to the club and would have been as taken by surprise as everyone else by the trouble Antonov is now in. From the sounds of it he has been talking to HMRC all the way through. Sounds to me as though he's between the devil and the deep blue sea.

I assume the deep blue sea refers to "the man from atlantis, but who is the devil, Chainrai perhaps.

Lampitt does not get the credit he deserves. Would you like to be in his position? He has much to weigh up and juggle, he's castigated from every angle, nothing he does placates the fans and all the while he's got to try and keep the team in shape for his manager. I would not trade his place- well, unless they offered me what Storrie was on! <laugh>
