.....since we got twatted 8-0 off Watford. Had a wee chat with the Horn's about this today. I was there as a 15 yo, how many of you witnessed that nightmare?
Billy man, how dare you bring this up? I'd eliminated that from my mind. You're responsable for me going to see a shrink tomorrow Can you remember the great save Turner made near the start? I thought after that it would be our day. Er, I was wrong. I was living in the south of England at the time and actually went in the Watford end with a mate who supported Watford. Near the end he wasn't celebrating the goals, he felt so bad for me. OK, in absence of a shrink, I'm now getting the beers out of the fridge, and it's YOUR fault.
, have one on me marra, apparently they hit the woodwork four time as well. Blisset got four that day iirc?
A week or two before this, I lost my cherry to a 24 yo woman whose father live two doors down from my parents. My dad was not keen to let me go but Michelle said she'd "look after me". I had a hold on my dad as he'd had a good win on the horses & not told my mam, so that swung the deal. And aye, she did look after me afterwards, lol. So I look upon this trip as an amazing day. Yay.....
Jammy bugger, Billy! Fortunately, I missed that one and 0-6 remains my biggest witnessed defeat (Derby in the League Cup and West Ham in Division 2).
I was listening to the radio when the score(s) update kept being announced, we had just finished having a kick about in our local park. A mate of mine that day was and still is a Watford fan.
I was going on an 18-30 holiday to Ibiza from Heathrow that day, so was sat in the departure lounge with a load of Spurs fans listening to the radio. They took the p155 for the duration of the 4 hour delay and then turned out to not only be on the same plane but also in the same hotel and they didn't shut their yap for a week. Mind you some of the girls in the hotel took pity on me for supporting such a crap team, so every cloud...............
I was 7 and me and my Dad went - I remember it quite vividly for being such a tender age but, from what I remember, We could have nicked it 9-8 (I was the ever optimistic kid in those days - still optimistic but more realistic) - I actually enjoyed it in the most perverse sense of the word as the lads around me were pissed of but singing their hearts out (and I was joining in) - I blame the ref anyhow
