I'm going to write 3 little words to put it all these new players in perspective:

    Anthony Le Tallec

..and he was our top scorer with only 6 goals! Remember those dark days of 05/06? Compare then to now. Almost makes you want to cry doesn't it?

Was that our brilliant 15 point season under McCarthy. It actually makes me want to cry tears of joy considering what we are now in comparison to that.

Didn't McCarthy only have £15m to spend, and that included wages!

I remember the day we signed Johnson and I genuinely thought yes we are in for a good season.

If my memory serves me correct, didnt Le Tallec warm the bench for the majority of the season as well?

    My three.

    Sir Niall Quinn.

The first one to get us moving in the right direction.
Very difficult times to start with but his efforts look like paying dividends now.

If you want 3 crap words how about Wilkinson and Cotterill?

Opinions - He spent nearly £13m that season on lower league dross (about 12 of them) when, had he signed 3 or 4 better players for a little more money, it probably would've been a better season - he has to hold some responsibility

I remember Cotterill was being talked about as the next great coach/manager and I was quite excited to get him.
Didn't turn out great though did it.

    The bloke was dire.
iirc the wonderful Murray hid under the bed for months while it was all going tits up & surfaced only to unveil this wonderful partnership.
