Anyone else think it would be a better idea to play Gouff - Remy - HBA as our attacking 3 and use Cisse as an impact sub? He can replace any of them as all 3 can play on either side? I just looks to have better balance and will create more goals
I am saying drop Cisse, and if any of the front 3 aren't having a good game he replaces them, moving into central striker role
I think gouffy should have a run in the team but that won't happen as cisse got his goal so he won't get dropped unless he goes on another drought for a couple of games also I wouldn't say cisse could be called an impact sub as he's made no impact whatsoever for the last god knows how many games in the first 11 !
We know Cisse can go on a purple patch like few strikers can. It's certainly worth seeing if he now has his eye back in.
I'd have to give Cisse a chance first. Strikers are a funny breed with regard to confidence. If that sparks a run of form then we have to capitilise on it. If not then I'd go with what you suggest.
Cisse is the main man. He needs better service and an improvement in confidence. Getting on his back certainly won't help. Lots of strikers go without scoring over a period of time but he appears to be doing all the hard work and sooner or later it will pay off.
I said this in another thread and I think it could work. I hope Cisse starts firing but I have a feeling he will continue to struggle in the PL. I really hope I'm wrong.
Put Sammy Cisse HBA instead. After all Sammy has provided more assists than our HBA Cisse Gouf combined (no, don't go check it up, I made that up myself)
I know he had a very good game but all this Sammy loving is getting ridiculous . I usually find myself standing up for him against people who want to get shot of him as soon as possible - - now he's a preferred starter over Remy ?
I think we should try a front 3 of: Jonas Gouff Sissoko Wouldn't score any goals mind but think of the work rate and tracking back we would get.
Best combo..... Sammy - Remy - Benny Obviously they sound like a 60's boy band, but on top of that they're the most in-form we've got right now.
Sammy has yet to deliver at PL level. No way he should be in our starting XI just yet for me personally. I still have my doubts he'll cut it at the top level but still think he should be given time. Bit of perspective required with Sammy's performance I reckon. He has had more bad games than good games (one swallow etc etc), and the level of opposition will not be what he faces in the PL.
To be perfectly honest, our starting XI hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire and they need to know they're not guaranteed to start unless they do the business.
It would be very attack minded. Feel we would would be very vulnerable down the wings with those 3 up front in a 4-3-3 formation.
