It's the summer and you're the Charlton manager (hopefully still CP ) - and you can renew only 3 of the players contracts. Who would you choose? Wiggins Morro Stephens
Is Alnwick on a 1 or 2 year Contract... Its just if he's only on a one year then in keeping Wiggins and Morrison we'd have to bring in a new Goalkeeper and may be considerably weaker than what we've got at present (Unless Pope is ready). The only reason I've kept Wiggins over Morrison as well is the fact I'd see us getting a higher transfer fee if Wiggins was to be sold under a Contract.
I think Alnwick was a 1 year - but not confident in that answer. I went for morro over kermo as keeping he and wiggins would allow us to keep our back 4 together. All top managers will tell you the importance in keeping your defence together and not having to make wholesale changes every year.
Yeah thats why I didnt choose Yann either... I also feel that we not only lose the possibility of a good Transfer Fee one day but also an important part of our already limited attacking play if we got rid of Stephens. Its one of the reasons why I'll always keep out of who should and shouldnt be the Manager for Charlton because this already proves how tough it is
Wiggins, Stephens and Morro Love Hamer as a fellow member of Goal Keeper's Union but Wiggins and Morro are key and I love Stephens, especially this season, has been brilliant
Morrow.... he may well be Captain next season Wiggins ..... a goalscoring left back are not easy to come across Stephens .... coming back to his best form As much as I love Kermit and hope he re-signs I think he will be easier to replace than an in-form Stephens.
Wiggins, Stephens. Both essential. Struggling to think of another that we couldn't replace with better if we had the bunce. Assuming we don't I'd re-sign Wood and Morro (the latter is as much sentiment as it is judgement)
I think regardless of what happens at the end of the season. Stephens will be off. My guess is he is only making a serious effort these days because he knows one or more clubs are specifically assessing him.
Good. Stephens was **** again on Saturday. A mate of mine lives near him in Bromley and has spoken to him - says he is a proper big head.
I bumped into him on a night out in Maidstone the night before last seasons POTY dinner, couldnt have come across as a nicer bloke in my experience. Matt Taylor was also with him, again really nice guy.
Heard same thing - one of the more shy characters. Taylor was meant to be a proper party animal, which always struck me as odd.
