Trio to miss training in Spain Posted: Sat 13 Jul 2013 Author: Adam Baker Stephen Pearson Stephen Pearson Image by: josephmeredith.com Head coach reveals absentees from training camp. Stephen Pearson, Marvin Elliott and Albert Adomah will be absentees from Cityâs training camp in Spain. Pearson has an ankle problem that is being looked at by specialists, while Elliott has a knee injury. Adomah, who handed in transfer request last week, will not travel with the rest of the players for the six-day training camp in the Spanish heat. Head coach Sean OâDriscoll said: âStephenâs seeing a specialist about his ankle injury and wonât be joining us in Spain, and Marvinâs going to sit it out as well; heâs taken a knock to his knee. âAlbert wonât be travelling. Heâs put his transfer request in and ideally the situation will be sorted one way or another by the time we come back from Spain. âIâd be delighted if a committed Albert Adomah wanted to be part of our season, but if he doesnât then itâs down to another club to make a bid that our club feels is right.â Trialist goalkeepers Kelle Roos and Elliott Parish will both join the team in Spain, along with Frank Fielding â who made his first appearance in a Bristol City shirt against Rangers. Greg Cunningham and Brendan Moloney will travel despite missing the game with Rangers for precautionary reasons.
