The last thing you'd expect at a British beach, six suffered cardiac arrest and three have died... http://metro.co.uk/2016/07/24/three...being-stung-by-jellyfish-6025971/?ito=twitter
WHAT A TERRIBLE THING THAT ON THE ONE DAY THATS BEAUTIFULL AND HOT ENOUGH TO JUMP INTO THE SEA FOR A SWIM WE GET HIT BY THESE SPINELESS SPONGEY CREEPIE THINGS
Poor sods, I hope the others recover. The papers were only warning about this threat this morning. http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/692613/Swarms-deadly-jellyfish-UK-waters
Several different versions of story depending on which news channel or twitter feed, you'd think they'd get the story straight...
"Yikes, there;s some dangerous creatures lurking around Britain these days !" these are called estate agents, PPI sales people / companies that have your personal details but will not disclose how they have them. Got called an arseh*** by last company I challenged when wanting to know how they had my personal information.
I'm confused. The reports says: Police dismissed earlier reports that the men had been stung by jellyfish. The force tweeted: ‘To clarify the men got into difficulty in the sea at Camber & were not stung by jellyfish as is being reported in some places.’
The original link updated. Apparently what I posted as a link is now different as news came in, good to hear it's not as bad as first reported...
Depends on how you read it Goldie, the report says that the men were not stung by jellyfish in some places, which could imply that they were stung (by jellyfish) in other places, and as they would only need to be successfully stung in one place to in fact qualify as being stung, one can never be sure. Hope that clears up the confusion.
Er...yes, thanks GC. But in view of the lack of hard evidence, I shan't be surprised if a class action is brought in defamation on behalf of jellyfish everywhere.
