He deserved a red card. And the normal punishment for that is a one game ban. So yeah it is harsh But maybe he'll learn this time. Its been coming for a wee while from him. I think in at least 1 maybe 2 Euro games before this season he was getting involved in things he really didnt need to. Maybe sitting in the stands whilst the team plays Barca and Milan he will finally wise up and stop giving refs the chance to send him off
It's extremely harsh. Okay he was a bit stupid, but it really was the most minimal of contacts. A one game ban should have sufficed.
Can't reduce the ban coz he was too big a spastic to make proper contact. It was a rather large target for ahem...a 'footballer' to kick and he missed. The wee ***** deserves all he gets.
i agree it is harsh but what grounds do we have to appeal it? the three game ban will be upheld. we will really miss him in the games to come and I hope that he learns from it
And you should be worrying about your degenerative neurological condition that makes you talk gibberish and pish yourself in public.
I remember when Lafferty tried to maim Andy Hinkel. The Hun version of what happened spread like spastic wildfire. I read the same stupid words from different stupid Huns on loads of different forums and even in the papers. I read it so often, I can remember it nearly 4 years later. "Lafferty's card? A rash forward's challenge. The ref's always likely to keep things to a yellow in an Old Firm fixture" Always presented in exactly the same way. I reckon if you googled it there'd still be a load of them left up.
Peter Grant's getting an apology/retraction in the papers for what Bawwie Fewgisun said about him and Broony. \0/
I willnae click on a record link, but I'm sure there were two reports in two days by the same reporter. One from Walter smith and and one from cheeky wee Ally. One saying Lafferty should have gone, the other saying he shouldn't. I'll bet you'll discover the exact text I wrote on the comments pages of at least one of those articles.... Not that you'd be bothered to look, but the gist is good enough. I changed the word Lafferty to Stokes when Stokes should have been sent off for a similar horror tackle but it wasn't met with the same stoical outlook.
