3 from 3. Drogba

With reports that Liverpool might go for Drogba (i'm not entirely sure how what with him being at a club) do you think its worth trying to pip them to a 3rd player of the summer?

Yes but because a player was successful with one team doesn't mean he'll be successful with another....look at Torres. I'd prefer to wait to see how Ade and Dempsey do and if no good wait until the January window to sign a different striker.

 

i don't see how Austerity-pool will be able to get him either then.

Drogba's still under contract and his people have denied that there's any problem with his Chinese club.

Cracking midfielder\forward who has earnt this move with a brilliant season for Fulham last year...don't want no Drogba.

I was probably one of them tbh. I'm still not convinced he's an improvement on Rafa. If, and it is an if for me, he can cover the lone striker role then i will change my mind.

 

If we're going to sign a striker that's out of contract, go for Klasnic.

 

Or how some overrate him either. He's on a par with the Heskeys of this world not the Drogbas.

Even for you, that's a ludicrous comment.

 

How so? He scores at a similar rate to Heskey and much worse than Drogba. Ludicrous would be rating him on a season and not his career.

 

I have two answers for you on that one...

i.) The season is over already? Better get yourself a cardboard box to call home.
ii.) There's 35 games remaining, thus making your comment as irrelevant as an Irish team in the Europa League.

 

Heskey was a handful in his prime.

 

He's not a striker, so why compare him with two players that are and that have played for better sides than he has?

Not going to happen. I very much doubt that Drogba went to play in China to broaden his cultural horizons. We certainly aren't going to pay him anything like his ridiculous salary from the Chinese.

That's true. So what should we call him? An attacking midfielder? Plenty of those we could compare him too but he'd not be high on that list either really would he?
