If we need to sign two defenders and a winger/striker, I think we will be ok. However, if we sell Roberge, Wickham or anyone else, we might end up a player short.
A lot can happen in three days, I think it will be down to the wire with our deals, but I am impressed with who we have got in and will be satisfied with two more quality loan deals for now, assuming we don't loose any of our three main strikers that is.
Only one way to answer this question, and that's to check back in 3 dsys. Hopeful we'll sign two players, a cb and cm
I don't think any of our targets are certain yet. Gus's quote "We are TRYING to get certain players, not anyone". Let's just trust in Lee & Gus (got a ring to it yeah)
IF roberge is off aswell then yes we need two defenders, dont think he'll be allowed to leave this late though, January maybe different I dont think we need two wide forwards, we have Giac, who is my first choice LW/LM at the moment, but he needs competition. Johnson played LW against brum though, so maybe buckley is our new RW and johno's gonna move wings? Very glad im not in charge of tranfers!
Thanks WMS for the welcome. Looking forward to the next 3 days. A win against QPR and 3 quality signings and I think we may be set up for a half decent season.
Aye, that'll do me, wouldnt know where to hedge my bets at the moment on transfers but 3 points the morra will be more than welcome, might ring in sick on monday in anticipation that i will be useless anyway
Totally not worried. I think we'll sign 3 new players before the deadline. Don't know if they'll be full signings or loans. Not too bothered either way at this late stage of the season.
I think it will pan out like this... Buy: Borini, Van Dijk, Alonso/Byram Loan: Alvarez, Toby Sell: Graham, Roberge, Diakite, Cabral If that happens, ill be happy with this window. Edit: Forgot about Byram
I'm not worried yet, just sick of the waiting. Gus has said, with a smile on his face at the midweek press conference, there will be a surprise before the window closes. All clubs are waiting for the last minute movement drama to start to ensure they have cover before releasing, then, and only then does it all go into frenzy mode. ......how this works I've no idea....it does my heed in big time. That said, I do think Gus has ALL our bases covered, including getting rid of the likes of Messers Graham and Roberge etc
I still think we will be pushing this one... We need cover for left back, and Alonso has proven he can do the job there. If we don't get Alonso, then I reckon Byram to come in, with Jones being the LB cover and Byram covering right in place of Vergini. Well, that's my opinion. All i can say, is im glad I dont have to make the decisions!
I still see us needing minimum1 defender and another striker, midfield looks like we are spoilt for choice I'm not sure who'll fit in. Current team have done OK job so far this season so it's got to be hard to make changes unless they are tactical, only upfront can I see changes to be made, Fletch to make way and Jozy to come on late as impact if needed. Team for me for now reason i've sort of set us up with Rodwell behind a front midfield 3 is that I think he's a bit slow and needs the time to thread the pass Vito (Pants): Vergini JOS Wes PVA (jones & Roberge back ups) Catts ( Bridcutt back up) Rodwell (alvarez) Buckley Seb Giacc (Johnson) Connor (Jozy Fletch)
