Well, tonight was disappointing. We could hardly string a pass together, we never reached any of the second balls, and there was just a general lack of quality from us in all departments, with nobody in a Rovers shirt producing a standout performance IMO. Our goal was very good, a well-worked corner routine, and we looked to gain momentum from it. But that all seemed to wilt once they got their equaliser, which was a very soft goal to concede. They then took control and took a deserved victory. We were outfought and outthought, and their winner was also avoidable, as we totally switched off when Harrold came on, which allowed Dagenham to open us up. I musr give great credit to Dagenham, as they came with a gameplan and it worked to perfection. They obviously took on board what we did well on Saturday, and set about countering that. They were tough to break down, and Azeez up front deserved his two goals as he was a handful to McChrystal and Parkes all evening. But tonight was somethingof a step back after some good performances over the last few weeks. The fact the bottom two both won didn't help, and it means we have got to get something at Hartlepool.
Typical Rovers, just start to put a decent run together only to get beat by a team we should have beaten at home.
It was a big blow really because a point or a win would have moved us right up the table. I guess the reason a lot of these players are in League 2 is because they can't perform week in and week out. Let's hope this is just a blip and we get another six game run going.
