It seems you are basing this purely on interview skills.

Musty, you really are a plastic sometimes (and I love you for it!)

Best actual managers .... Ferguson, Ferguson and Ferguson. He is leagues above anything the others have done.
Worst managers ...... Micky Adams, Kevin Keegan and Graeme Souness

I really like Ian Holloway, great character, says it as he sees it.

Roy Hodgson is a top man,and a very astute manager.

Roberto Martinez will always be on my favourites list.

I have no time for Ferguson,he exerts too much power and influence, for my liking.

I feel sorry for Arsene Wenger. he is such an intelligent man,but lets himself down by only seeing what he wants to see.

I went off Billy Davies when he did a jig of delight in front of the cameras when Taylor was sent off in the first minute of the play off at Forest.

I don't dislike Warnock, unlike many on here. He was very complimentary on radio today about The Swans,so that should earn him some brownie points. He's a passionate man,and is also quite outspoken. I respect him for that.

Ah,"Jimmy" Jewell, what can one say about this enigma? Actually,I like the guy, particularly when he's a pundit. He's got quite a good personality,I think. He was ridiculed over The Bodde Snatchers incident, but, that apart,he's O.K.

Bloody hell how anyone can say that fergy doesn't moan is beyond me, just look at how many fines and touchline bans the man gets every season, plus the rants in the press, the last one was daglish's daughter asking a reasonable question last week!

But he is also the best, together with mourinho and holoway , the worst is as mentioned fergie, toshack and warnock for me

Lennon!!!!! I can ensure you if Fergusson etc were getting letter bombs, death threats, attacked pitch side , cheated by the refs , getting wrong results in law courts, getting blamed when the opposition have 3 sent off and 10 booked and the sfa punish him !!!! They would moan . Read the facts about Lennon before accussing him , no manager in world football has had to put up with what he has had

lennon is an absolute asswipe, u r obviously a celtic fan who is struggling to realise rangers are the better side, and tbh Lennon deserves half (not all) the crap he gets for his consistent moaning when celtic lose

In fairness musty, the guy has had death threats, that's above and beyond what anyone should have to put up with. Some of the stuff that's gone on over the border (or 2, in our case!) really is sick, and Lennon has been within his rights to have a moan.

Jager, Toshack is manager of Macedonia is he not?

My Top 3 Managers in the BPL and NPC:

    1. Sir Alex Ferguson - Anyone who can keep a football team at the top of the game after blooding through 2 sets of youngsters deserves all the credit he gets. He's not the most liked man, but I honestly feel that's because he does his job so damn well.
    2. Tony Pulis - Took a side up from the Championship that, to be quite honest, should have ended up coming straight back down. Kept them up by any means possible, and now has the club snowballing into a Top10 Premiership team. Admirable. He had a squad of players and played to their strengths - a really good job done by the Welshman.
    3. Gus Poyet - Got his Brighton side playing unbelievable football on a horrible pitch and at a horrible stadium. Now that they are in their new stadium, and travelling to other big stadiums with great pitches, they are finding that they can actually pass the ball and create chances for fun at the higher level. I expect Gus to get them to the Premiership (not necessarily this season) and that would be a fantastic achievement in a short space of time.

    And my worst managers:

    1. Paul Jewell - Has the guy ever succeeded at anywhere he has been? Unable to turn a teams fortunes around, and every side he's managed that's gone on the slide has ended up giving him his P45.
    2. Steve Kean - To be fair, that was a great win against Arsenal (despite being gifted 2 own goals and an offside waived). But the guy is clearly out of his depth. Post match interviews are straight out of a textbook, and I don't think his players have full respect for him.
    3. Alan Pardew - Along with Jewell, one of the managerial 'journeymen'. He started ok for West Ham, but has just gone downhill since. Sacked at West Ham, he couldn't save a sinking ship in Charlton and failed to launch a promotion campaign before being sacked there. He was then unable to get a Southampton side over the promotion line in League 1 after putting them in prime position. Sacked for not keeping good morale within the staff, he's now moved to Newcastle - I think his players are carrying him more than the other way round. I've never been convinced by Pardew, and his past is not impressive. Despite a good start to the season, I still don't expect him to last more than 2 years at the club.

Think some are confusing ability and popularity. I dislike Ferguson intensely but you can't deny he's one of the best managers Britain has ever produced.

On the others mentioned in the OP, I have a lot of time for Pulis. Not the most charismatic individual but the job he's pulled off at Stoke is remarkable. Wenger is a fantastic manager imo - Arsenal's current problems don't mean he's turned into a poor manager overnight.

Best manager by a country mile that no other is even close too ...=....Fergy....next up Brendan Rodgers who will be the next Chelsea manager.....And third is Arsene who sticks to his principles and gets his team playing good football without going over the top in paying for players. he will get arsenal in the top 6 this season even without the high profile players he has lost.....

    My Top 3 PL Managers

Fergie - As a gooner, it pains me to say this, but the man gets results. And thats whats needed in this business
Arsene Wenger - Turned a fluctuating team into a team with a place reserved in the top 4. Went a season undefeated too.
David Moyes - Works miracles at a team with little or no funding. Destined for a bigger job.

    Worst Managers

Fergie - Okay, i put him in both. Aside from the results, the continuous claims that the FA hate him are ridiculous.
John Toshack - after all the hard work Mark Hughes did, making us a respectable international side again, he ruined everything, and dropped us below people such as somalia in the world rankings.
Paul Lambert - he's a great manager, but for gods sake, cheer up mate. Norwich could win the treble, and he'd still look as if his dog had just died.

Special mention to Mr. Rodgers. He's doing a sterling job for Swansea, and i'm beginning to think you guys might stay up. he needs to improve your defensive a bit though. You can't keep relying on Vorm to get you out of trouble.
