Right so I've been going through the players that have gone and what we are currently left with and am just wondering if Taylor is going to revert to the 3-5-2 system he used when he was last here. It would certainly get the best out of Joe Martin and Matt Fish with them being more attacking full backs. Whelpdale could also offer competition for Fish in this role as he's filled in at RB a few times. Hessenthaler and Linganzi could offer the defensive midfield roles and enable Dack to play in his more natural attacking mid position or "in the hole". That way he could link up with Bayo/Keds and Cody and hopefully enable him to flourish.

If we were to get another couple of centre mids and a couple of wide players who could do this role then we may be on for a decent team. It could also enable Barrett to have extra cover with a third centre back if we are going to continue to play him (god I hope not).

Yes I know we haven't signed anyone yet but just trying to put some theory behind the decisions that have been made so far. If he does go for this style of play then we may actually be quite a force next season..... We'll probably go down now I've said that. <laugh>

3-5-2 is played by Bristol City, it sometimes works but sometimes catastrophic mistakes occur as a result.
