    In the Championship, League one and League two the team that comes first wins the Champions trophy,the team that finshes third wins the play off final trophy but the team that finish 2nd wins no trophy..

    Why do they give the play-off winners a trophy? Isn't the £90 million (projected increased earnings) enough of an incentive?

    Because the football league want more people to watch so they get a trophy involved. Pretty dumb but what da f*** who doesn't like a piece of sliverware in their old cabinet.
