BRISTOL CITY: Latest Alex Gilbey bid from Robins is rejected by League One side Colchester United Bristol City have had another bid turned down by Colchester United for midfielder Alex Gilbey. Interest in the youngster first emerged last week but City's bid, which was not disclosed, was quickly turned down by the Sky Bet League One club. Another offer has been launched for the 21-year-old but United boss Kevin Keen confirmed that the bid had again been rejected. And now Keen says that the club are in talks over a new deal for Gilbey, who has made 29 appearances this season. He went on to say: "The bid has been rejected and Alex is looking forward to Saturday to showcase what he can do." Despite the recent loan signing of AFC Bournemouth's Lee Tomlin, City are thought to be still in the market for a more defensive-minded midfielder and Gilbey seems to be the calibre of player they're after. Along with Tomlin, former academy player Scott Golbourne has re-joined the club after a ten year absence, while Bradley Dack is also thought to still be a target by Gillingham are holding out for at least £3m. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTO...y-bid-Robins/story-28625200-detail/story.html
