@NatJacksonsport: I understand #nffc have increased their offer for #lcfc defender Wes Morgan. A second bid went in last night and was rejected this morning. @NatJacksonsport: I understand the #nffc bid for Wes Morgan was between 1 and 2 million pounds. #lcfc still say Wes is NOT for sale.
We cant afford to lose Wes. It would cost us more to replace him with someone with his ability then we would make by selling him I genuinely believe Wes will want to stay here aslong as Nigel is in charge. He has become alot better footballer and athlete since coming here. He is in the shape and form of his life
i dont understand - forest have a history of bidding for players that they know they cant get just to please the fans
That's a very good point and one that Pearson critics have overlooked. Players like stability. It's clear those that don't like Pearson's style have, for the most part, moved on. This squad is becoming a tight little unit now. Maybe if Pearson had been sacked, Kasper and Morgan would have expressed more of an interest in leaving. Impossible to prove either way obviously but I have no doubts it would have come into their thinking. One thing is for sure - if they didn't get on with him they would certainly have wanted out.
I wonder what Wes makes of it. I mean Trees are going to be well up there this season & him being a Tree & all.
As long as it's all legal and above board, there's nothing we can do. They're wasting their own time...
Obviously it's not tapping up, they're just bidding for one of your players. Though they're obviously not going to get him back for the price they sold him for, so I'm not entirely sure what they're messing about at(unless they seriously do think this will make him file a transfer request, which seems unlikely).
