1878 Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, American tap dancer is born, making today National tap dancing day in the USA
1895 Oscar Wilde was convicted of bumming and setenced to two years in prison
1961 JFK vowed to put a man on the moon
1967 Celtic won the now defunct European Cup
1977 Star Wars is released, making today Geek Pride day
2008 J. R. Simplot, American potato farmer died

So when people think of the 25th of May they think bumming, crooked irish-american politican, Celtic, geeks, potatoes and tap dancing.

Thanks for this Medro, you really are a fountain of knowledge.

No wonder your fellow countrymen hate you as you continually show them up for the rhetards that they are <applause><magic><bubbly>

Winning goal was offside - another tainted victory.

But I bet you've got the Lisbon lions Volumes 1-84

I'm guessing there will be a new one out this week.

    It's funny

After all the money rangers threw at the league and the European Cup they could only equal 9 in a row and failed miserably trying to win the European Cup

Now they are about to go out of business and be stripped of titles

    Kind of sad really

Like you, he doesn't go to Celtic games so i wasn't surprised that he didn't know about this date.

1 goal away from the final pet.

Keep dreaming. But then if we go out of business, what team will you talk about?

You don't need to take my semi-final. Just correcting you again, that getting that far is hardly considered "failing miserably."

    Yes it is

It wasn't even a real semi final

You spent and spent and got no better over a decade

You'll always have Chelsea to support I suppose

According to a Celtic fan of course.

All those great Champions league nights when your team was struggling to finish in the top half of the table.

But then, you probably didn't support Celtic back then.

You're running on empty now aren't you

You're painting me as a new fan of Celtic who only supports them during periods of little success

Well Mindy if you barely support them now, I couldn't really see you supporting them back then.

    Where did I say that?

    That's right I didn't.

Mindy said we failed miserably in the Champions League. I said that being 1 goal away from the final was hardly failing miserably.
