i have an issue with this, they said Ronaldo to real Madrid was a ''shock, we all knew he was going there the year before he left, if that programme would be made now i would've made RVP to us the number 1 transfer that shocked the world.

Don't get why RVP was a shock. At all.

Liverpool paying thirty five million quid for Andy Carol was a mega double plus top shock though. 35 pence would have sufficed.

Probably more that the fee was shocking? RVP to Utd wasn't shocking at all, it was rather predictable. Robinho to City, however...

Ravanelli to Boro was a big one, Beckham to Madrid, Windass to Bradford.

I shat myself when we signed Downing.

What would be a real shocker is if someone signed Usian Bolt.

Torres has to be the one, that deal shocked the world and shocked him. The deal especially the money Chelsea paid gave Torres too much pressure which he can't handle.

I know the biggest shock transfer for the scouser's, Micheal Owen to us, their legend signs for Man Utd must of given them a big shock and also the fact that he won the league with us

I don't think many of us saw him as a legend after the Madrid move, Torres will never be seen as a legend for the same reason.

    Fowler, there's an legend.

Never understood why. He had a couple of good seasons. So did Kevin Phillips.

Fowler being some kind of god of a player is one of the great myths of football.

Strange one with Fowler, I think he didn't get a fair crack with England so that's why he's not rated as much outside of Liverpool.
He was clearly a brilliant striker though.
