25 Man Squad

As I'm sure you all know Premier League clubs have to submit a 25 man squad which can't be changed until January. The list has to be submitted to the Premier League on the 1st September when the transfer window closes. By my counts we have 21 players at the minute allowing Nigel to sign 4 more players still unless some go out letting him bring more in by that is unlikely. We know Nigel still wants a defender and Striker and its possible we still want a midfielder with a deal to sign James McArthur in place but no one quite knows what our intention is now with Cambiasso signed

Schmeichel, Hamer, De Laet, Simpson, Wasilewski, Morgan, Moore, Upson, Konchesky, Knockaert, Albrighton, Mahrez, Drinkwater, James, Hammond, King, Cambiasso, Schlupp, Vardy, Taylor-Fletcher, Nugent, Wood, Ulloa

 

Well I just hope he´s looking at a couple of DEF´s. I like the look of our squad, on paper, but I can´t help worrying about our `championship`DEF. What we do have is a squad that I´m sure will fight all the way til May so if we add 4 more quality players to what we´ve got I´m sure we´ll stay up & go on from there.
I´d love Welbeck but I doubt he´d want to go to a team just promoted. Anyway if reports are to be believed he´s off to Spurs.

I think you could add GTF to that and not sure Upson will be registered as i not sure how long he is out for.

Under 21 players don't count - unless Football Manager is lying to me...

 

Apart from maybe Liam Moore I don't think any of our squad is under 21. They mostly 23-25

This is correct. We will get away with having Smith as third choice keeper outside of our 25 man squad. Barmby, Pearson, Cain and Watson will also be eligible to play but not part of the 25 man squad. It's likely Moore and Tom Hopper won't be either.

So yeah, omitting Moore from Proud's list and adding GTF (and assuming Bakayoko won't be included), we potentially could bring in another four. But don't get too excited - the squad doesn't have to be 25 man in size. Many clubs submitted 20 man squads in Jan. Scroll down this PDF letter to see what I mean:

So now with Danny Simpson signed along with Esteban Cambiasso all Nigel is looking for now if reports are true is a striker with bids gone in for Dame N'Doye and David McGoldrick
