    Tractor boy here.

Absolutely disgusting if true. I CANNOT WAIT for clubs to start to ( and it will happen ) pay these sorts of players one HELL of a lot less.

He should be on no more than 7000p/w. Glad we didn't sign him!

He would have been worth every penny for all the penalties he won for you last season. Not saying he was diving but you have had far less penalties this season <ok>

What makes you so sure this will happen? Even with FFP all the evidence suggests that footballer's wages are continually inflating and I see no reason why that will suddenly stop. This is a huge problem in football when idiots like this are getting paid that sort of coin.

You would think these kind of players would have no choice if decent wage structures are in place at a football club.

Its sign for less, or stay a free agent earning nothing.

If hes found guilty, he'll be lucky to get paid for football again.

If this is a shock to you, why did you think he chose to join midtable Blackburn instead of promotion chasing Hull City last January? (which is when he really agreed his summer move to them as well)

Could be a number of things. 1. Blackburn are a little bit dumb & throw money about. 2. I guess Hull offered him less money & 3. he knows he´s crap & wouldn´t get a game in the prem....

or 2 or 3 of the above.

I'm not talking specifically about DJ Campbell though and neither is Westlake. I could be talking about any lazy overrated player (you guys have had your fair share) that seem to get way more money than good honest hard-working footballers. FFP isn't bringing wages in general down at all, wages this season are higher than they were last season for instance.

DJ Campbell will NEVER play football again if found guilty

Any body got any evidence as to whether Manc Poo :emoticon-0119-puke: & Fergie fixed games, You know like Juve did ?
Love to see them get stripped of their titles & sent down to the 2nd div.... just imagine it. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Seriously though, I always thought that last game of the season, last minute of the season, win for Arsenal (v Liverpool at Anfield, Micky Thomas) was fixed ??? Oh & btw it was 1989 & the only foreigner was Bruce Grobbelaar (not inc the Irish, Welsh & Jock players who were mostly born in England) & What about that ****ing Swindon play off win v LCFC eh ? Tripped up a shoe lace & peno ? PLEEEEEEASE do me a favour. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I was talking about the way football is going, with FFP coming in, wealthy foreign owners (like ours) are not going to spend big wages on big name players any more like they did a few seasons ago.
From now on (you would think, maybe with the exception of those trying to still buy promotion, QPR, and for some reason Bolton) clubs aren't going to sign players like DJ in this league for that kind of moolah.

Beckford will probably never be on 20-25k a week again, same with alot of our Sven signings that will leave in the summer for free, they will all haveto take substancial paycuts to find a club.

But LeicesterWizard, its not happening. Parachute payments are ruining this league imo.

Its not just QPR and Bolton, its the likes of Blackburn, Wigan and Forest as well. Hell, we are even paying Diouf a fair amount of money and he doesn't even play games for us. Until parachute payments are stopped the wages in this league will rise year on year because of the relegated teams and the other teams will have to find a way to keep up somehow so they will all continue to stretch their limits.

I cannot really see an end to the 20-25k a week wages in this league in honesty.

I'd agree with that, ironically they are bringing in FFP to level the playing field, yet parachute payments will make it easier for those teams to go straight back up, once teams start getting fined by FFP that have been in this league for a few years tighten their belts, you could pretty much guarantee that the prem relegated teams will finish in the top 6 due to their extra £30m of finances.

FFP and Parachute Payments don't mix!
