So we are now 5 months on from one of the best days of my 51 years. No doubt some of you feel the same. What the **** has gone wrong in such a short period of time? What happened to the spirit and fight of that wonderful day? What happened to 'find a way'? So disappointed with the boys this term.
It was there on Sunday....do not give up yet.......Monday will tell us. If they have "found a way", we will see on Monday Monday is such a crucial match

I still watch the highlights of the match in May from time to time to give myself hope. Every time I watch them, I'm reminded that actually, as great a day as it was, the standard of football was pretty shoddy. We basically got promoted because a Derby defender scuffed a clearance and gave Bobby his chance. I don't say that to take away from the magic that was the playoff final, only to point out the vast chasm between then and now. We are now playing agaist top top teams, and even those who are lower in the Premier League are still way ahead of us. It is now our defenders who are being found out, and who are making the mistakes which mean we lose games. Sadly, I just think May came a year too early for us, and we just haven't got the basics sorted enough to build on in the Premier League. Sorry to be so doom and gloom, and I hope I will be proved wrong as the season goes on, but I haven't seen much to give me hope so far!
Completely agree. We were somewhat lucky in May, but as the saying goes, 'you make your own luck'. There just doesn't seem to be any of the spirit that we saw then. We defended like lions after the sending off, we couldn't say that this season.
