I will never get tired of watching that goal, it still makes the hairs on me neck stand up. A part of my brain still doesn't believe we actually won at Wembley, but when I watch those videos it sinks in again. Hull City winning at Wembley??? **** off. It did happen didn't it???
You know the word legend gets used a lot these days and people like to big things up about must win games and things like that, but jesus christ that volley at wembley must go down as one of the greatest sports stories in history. I mean Deano went to Franny Askew school in the shadow of the south stand on gypseyville. 104 years waiting hundreds of thousands of tigers fans looking down from heaven dating back from before the Carter years and we finally made it! We could go on now and win the FA Cup or perhaps the prem or even the chumps league but I dont believe there will ever be another goal like that in our history. We are all very lucky to have been around for that day!
Spot on john only wish my dad was stood with me that day but he past away in nov 07.But i did have his city shirt on thought it would bring us luck wonder how many more good luck charms was taken that day by the tiger nation.
