    Hi,

    Shameless begging alert.

On Saturday 24th September whilst many of you will be travelling to Liverpool I will be walking over the Humber Bridge, again and again and again.

I am going to walk circuits of the brdge (across one side, underneath and back across the other side) for 24 hours from 10am on Saturday til 10am on Sunday. Each circuit is roughly 4 miles and I want to do at least one every 2 hours making a minimum of 48 miles.

I am doing it to raise money for a friend of mine to go to Germany for Immunotherapy treatment which is not available in the UK. Having battled cancer for a number of years this is her last shot.

As is always the case it's one of the world's genuinely decent people who has this horrible disease.

There's a bit more info about her here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/david-roberts-5

If anybody fancies giving anything at all to the cause I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

Are you trying to raise £250 towards the treatment .

Only asking as I get immunotherapy treatment every month @ scarborough hospitall and it cost alot more per dose

    Good luck with the walk.
    Good luck to your friend

    EDIT

JUST GONE TO THE JUST GIVING PAGE
AND SEEN YOUR TRYING TO RAISE MONEY
    TOWARD THE TREATMENT

    Good luck

    I will definitely be donating.

    Thanks.

£250 is just a target the page made me set for this challenge, I'll amend it if money comes in. In reality it's going to cost well over £100,000. A very good chunk has already been raised (over £30,000 I think) through other events.

Well done mate I've just sponsored you. Make sure you wear the right footwear, I messed my feet up for a year walking a marathon for cancer research last year.

So I comepleted the walk. 49.8 miles in 24 hours. Bit achey and got some nasty blisters now but we've so far raised just over £1,100 which is amazing. Thanks to those who donated.

If you go on Facebook and search for #agoodelongwalk you can see some photos, a video and updates.
