Following his hat-trick on Tuesday night that's how many Messi has scored for Barcelona to take him past the club record 232 that were scored by Cesar Rodrigues in the 1940s and 50s. Not bad for a 24 year old.

He's still got some work to do though, Rodrigues was known for scoring with corners, and Barcelona say he's only the top scorer for official games, and their actual top scorer is Paulino Alcantara who got 369 goals for them in competitive and friendly games.

Having already got 54 goals this season he must be aiming for at least 65 before the summer.

Here is one to test you. Since Hull City started in the Football League in 1905 how many goals have been registered in their "For" Column in all League and Cup matches since then, up to today?

Assuming things have always been as they are now, I'm going to say... eight.

If the Total Goals For figure is rounded to the nearest hundred your answer is very relevant.

Messi will retire as the best player to grace our game, he'll easily eclipse 500 goals for Barcelona, still got another 10 years left in his career, maybe 15 if he does a Giggs. Absolute pleasure to watch him play and is a very humble and down to earth guy unlike some Premier League 'stars' who aren't even good enough to clean his boots.

Hope he can perform at the next World Cup to shut Pele up that he's not up there cos he's not won a World Cup
