I'm reliably informed by QPR Report that it is 23 years since Wegerle scored this amazing goal at Elland Road. Was anyone there?

A really amazing game, we were 2-0 down early on conceding poor goals but Ray Wilkins (plus hair) got us back into the game and then came that stunner, even the Leeds fans applauded it. Gordon Strachan missed a 2nd half penalty hitting the bar before Wegerle scored the winner. I remember that day well, when I heard we were two down I switched radio off and was gobsmacked later when I heard what happened, 'O ye of little faith'! Here's all the goals from that game...

Great memories. A special mention for Barker's determination in winning the ball for Rangers' first too.

I was there that day with two mates, one an R and the other a Leeds fan. We stayed with the Leeds fan Saturday night and he decided to take us out in Leeds. I was still wearing my shirt after the win.................and a couple of jumpers and a coat! Pub 1------this was a Leeds fan drinking whole. Everyone except your truely was wearing a Leeds shirt. Neither of the two London boys went to the bar and I stayed in my extra layers...sweating my wotsits off. Pint 1 went down very quickly . Pub 2 - They had a band playing and from memory a femle vocalist was singing steamy windows. Packed full, with fewer Leeds shirts........however one jumper had come off in the car. I cannot remember whether coat came off at this stage but this was a more friendlier pub than the first. Third and final pub was a more locals pub with a lot of older people in it. Match of the day was on the telly which was fixed high into one of the corners and then the match was shown. By this time, I reckon I had lost a stone and half in my extra clothing and had decided to take off jumpers and coat. The local actually asked whether we had just come up for the game and then Roy's goal was shown and even they said it was fantastic. That first pub was one of the scariest moments in my life...Leeds had a reputation back then and I wasn't going to show my colours (sorry) for fear of not leaving the establishment!

Notice how when we score our 1st and 3rd, there is a good roar from the travelling R's, but when wegerle's 1st goes in all you can hear is thunderous applause.

Why didn't you shut yourself in the khazi, take off your shirt, pop a jumper back on and stuff the shirt into a coat pocket? Alternatively, you could have climbed up onto a table in the middle of the bar, removed your coat and jumpers and shouted "we are QPR, Leeds are a bunch of ****s!"
