According to the Times today we have a 21% chance of getting promoted. Forest have a 24% chance, with Bolton, Brighton, Birmingham and Blackpool all in with a better chance than us. We also have a 0% chance of facing the drop. I read this in a coffee shop and I cannot be certain of the exact percentages. We do not have the players to go up according to some of the stats, "Bollocks" is all I can say!
All these neutrals said Leeds would go up and talking to their fans, they think relegation is more likely. Going by the last few seasons, these neutrals havent got a clue, they cant be arsed to look at all the relevant factors so they just look at the reputation and history of the club, or as they call it 'size'. How can they say we don't have the players to go up but TWS do?
Depending how you use the physics/maths, bees can't fly. Fortunately bees don't let such things hold them back.
I always think it's better to look at how a team is playing, rather than look at the results so far. We seem to score on both counts though. I know it's too early, and that we'll get a better idea after ten games, but we do look premier league after already.
Lol, I changed my name because it was too long and everyone abbreviated it anyway, but abbreviating it further to IS is just lazy
Bookies odds are based on who is betting on which teams, so if in pre season loads of people had bet on us then we'd have been first favourites, but at the start of preseason we had no manager and a thin squad so we were 16th favourites, Leicester had been throwing money about so were first favourites, not sure who the hell will have been betting on Leeds tho as they have been a selling club since Bate came in and had serious frailties for all to see! We are playing the best we've played since we got promoted, but the season is only games old and there are still a lot of very competative teams in this league. End of the day who gives a flying fornication what anyone thinks of our chances, it has zero impact on where we will finish, the one thing it does do is present us with good odds on City promotion or championship win, I personally put a tenner on us at 33/1 before the season kicked off to win the league, feeling good about it at the moment, hope it still feels good come May.
The Brum percentage is being reassessed as we speak. Those pesky Tykes seem to have ignored all The Times hard work
Damn 21%..... I worked it out to be 19.97765. How the hell do they even try to calculate that. I'm looking at it & thinking.... We're looking good & very happy with our situation. I suppose that's the posh twats at the times for you!
I didnt really mean bookies though I meant proper predictions like in the papers and stuff. FourFourTwo had us to finish 16th and Leeds 2nd. Leicester doesn't bother me so much because they at least have a decent squad and a load of money so you can see whay they said it. Also, how come teams like Brighton are deemed to have a good enough squad but not us?
Fair point, basically the so called pundits who work for these magazines or BBC have an idea about what's going on in the Premiership but know **** all about anything outside of that, they look at the Championship and look for teams who are either splashing the cash or who were good 12 years ago.....they basically have the same Championship mentality as Sven Goran Eriksson, no clue about good championship players so concentrate on Premiership has beens thinking that that will make a good team.....errrr no
Bees have two pairs of wings making them better than everyone though. Nobody bothered to pas clokse enough attention to realise, and the bees didn't tell anyone. No doubt they think its funny as **** that everyone is amazed at how well they do!
