Was the day Rooney released his statement supposedly because Utd had "no ambition". A lot of rival fans and journalists and even some of our fans were worried that this was the end of an era and the end of the "empire". With the Glazer debt hanging over us and our disastrous slip of a 2 goal lead vs West Brom, some began to panic that maybe we would slip out of the top 4 especially as we were 5 points behind the apparent Champions elect (Chelsea). The Rooney transfer request fueled rumors and beliefs that maybe we was not a powerful ambitious team anymore. However, our great manager used this to our advantage to unite the team and on the same day against Bursaspor the team showed great unity. Nani took up the leadership mantle and scored an amazing winning goal for us and from there we have gone from strength to strength. This season has been a great team effort and all of our players have been pivotal to our success this season. If we rewind back to that day in October and told people we would win the league and be in the Champions League final, people would have laughed. However, we are here, so why can't we do the so called impossible again and beat Barca? Regardless of the result it has been a great season and a season of team unity and probably one of my favorite title wins. It was a title really against adversary and what a team effort it has been!!! Believe!!!
