Think Red Bull might go well here this weekend but also interested to see Renault in any possible wet weather- they’ve been steadily on the up in recent months.

Well FP1 was fun wasn't it?
Sky had an interesting discussion about Lewis practice start penalty vs Charles Spa practice start. I say interesting more disappointing. Jonny was saying about intent and Charles only went a meter or so over the line. Surely a line is the reference point? So any amount past it is past it, same as race directors track limit on certain corners. Johnny was saying Charles was only asked to see stewards after race due to his slow lap, him crossing line wasn't even discussed! He also talked about everyone else did practice starts in certain position and Lewis did his in different place so it must have been wrong!!!
To me Lewis's practice start was in a dangerous position, there was a miscommunication with his engineer as I think Lewis thought it was OK to go to end of pit exit and engineer thought he was just going few meters further than practice line.

Personally I don't think he should have received an in race penalty let alone 2. I think it should have been looked at after the race and if found guilty he should have had points deduction and maybe team points deduction. It was a mistake by course director to not define the practice start location well enough. This race he is now providing a photo of the location to clarify the location, so that suggests it needed clarifying!

Anyway hopefully the mist will clear and we will see some practice.Pity for Mick.

It's a shame we can't have Rosberg in the commentary box every week, just puts Croft in his place for an hour. Might be good for him.

I suppose we'll see. Having just seen Bottas' pole lap he may be in trouble also, his car looks very quali lap twitchy, doesn't at all look set up for the race.

Then again my predictions are usually a safe bet for what definitely won't happen.
