Good news - Season tickets are going on sale from 12th April latest, whether or not the take-over has happened. https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5ac60507098d6/201819-season-ticket-update This is to give fans two chances to buy season tickets at our remaining home games this season.
I wonder what the reaction would be if we had new owners who immediately put ST's up by 30% ? The only positive thing I can say about the Belgian's regime is that they did try to keep ST's reasonably priced.
I don't trust Judas Murray or duct tape Duchatelet, so will be keeping my money in my pocket until he is gone.
I'll be renewing mine. I hope as many fans as possible renew their season tickets and come along to the Valley to support Lee Bowyer and the team, and what they are trying to achieve. Already thousands have returned, that can only be a good thing.
I said that I wouldn't go to The Valley again this Season if Duchatelet is still holding the reins and I stick to that.
Ditto. No money up front from me until the Virus has gone. I was at the Valley earlier today...it was a ghost town.
everyone would be well within their right to not renew at all given what we've been served for so long. i wont until the rat has gone, and then maybe not even until we get some sort of indication of what the new owners will do. if we end up with jocky mcjock from whatever Scottish team has been mentioned i may just stick to the odd game here or there. same applies to harry kewell. SCP or bowyer will more than likely get me to buy.
Each to their own @lardiman but a good man like you really shouldn’t feel the need to apologise on ITTV to a craven pro Duchatelet stooge like Jeddez. “Fans” like Jeddez, SR and Jonkool have been a big part of the problem these last 4 years. Thank God you didn’t see many of their type 70 years ago. Weaklings.
During my time on various forums I would like to think I have contributed a bit to the enjoyment of those forums by other members. However I believe that sometimes I have also gone beyond the valid position of disagreeing with various individual members, and have been needlessly disrespectful and even insulting. I could justify this by claiming provocation and circumstances, but in the end the divisions and hostility between myself and a number of other Charlton fans during my relatively brief time on fans' forums (less than 3 years) have been of my own making. There's nothing wrong with banter and rivalry between groups of fans, even supporters of the same Club. But I have let the politics and the divisions become more important to me than my love for the game itself. I have paraded my principles, judged others by them and eventually become a prisoner to them myself, instead of tempering those principles with modesty and letting them guide me. I have no real quarrel with any other Charlton Athletic fan. No reason to treat any other fellow fan with disrespect. And no reason to deny myself the joy and the drama of watching our team play whenever I can. This is a personal thing, I'm not commenting in any way regarding what other fans feel is right or wrong. But in future I will leave politics to the politicians. I'm not a politician and I don't want to be one.
I'm not sure I'm going to buy, even with a new owner. I've been doing some cool travelling around the country. Spending time with this lovely woman. Meeting family, living. Think that I've moved on... Sad I know.
It's good to hear you're generally enjoying life at the moment Holden, perhaps coming to watch the team can become a part of it again in the future. From the mid 1980's I only went to a handful of games in two decades. But eventually the time was right to come back, and I hope that will be true for you as well.
.............marrying said lovely woman, settling down, having kids, little boy says "Daddy, take me to the football", etc... etc.....etc.....
