for those interested: Europa league draw. Chelsea v Dynamo Kiev Eintracht Frankfurt v Inter Milan Dinamo Zagreb v Benfica Napoli v Salzburg Valencia v Krasnodar Sevilla v Slavia Prague Arsenal v Rennes Zenit v Villarreal for anyone wanting to know why this completion is in trouble: they've fitted 2 legs in already in space of one leg for last 16 of CL... and these last 16 games will be played in 7th and 14th march. We do not play bayern away until 13th march. Seriously constricted schedule! Anyway... theres one or two interesting games but not many in this comp. Sevilla play prague which was a semi final when we lost to seville in this comp's final. Inter, napoli, seville, Valencia, arsenal, Chelsea.. benfica and zenit... wouldn't be a terrible standard of teams for the Last 8 when this competition could become worth bothering about.
Its because they have an extra knockout round. So instead of going to 16 after groups go to 32, I wonder if that’ll change when they bring in this 3rd European tournament though
Wont have an awful lot of choice. Both contract expire in 2020 so could lose for nothing next jan on a pre contract or a very small fee if someone wants to buy them there and then
Yes, I think its madness. it kills the comp. The big teams can put up with thrusday nights prechristmas by playing kids and they don't "mind" par se. But this 4 weeks of 2 games a week while the CL clubs swan about having the rest... it really hurts For me they need to hcange it cos nobody is really interested, even the minnows like bate last night.. are they REALLY interested?
I think it is an English attitude thing Europe tend to really respect the Europa I do too but the money in the prem rears it’s head again Even if they re work it I don’t think it will interest the prem clubs
Anyone know who the 4 other Prem teams are that are currently under investigation' and expected to get the same ban if found guilty. They will be teams who have bought a lot of youngsters in recent years so could be us, Urd and City
look.. it's bound to be city as they are being looked at for youth players. it's not known who the 4 are but its highly likely to be top 6 clubs so id say arsenal city utd and us.. maybe spurs i dunno.
would have thought City will be 1. My guess is you need to look at teams who bought lots of youngsters from abroad but quite possible it us both Mancs & Arsenal.
It not rocket science is it...... Camacho Chirivella Allan Tagseth Raitenen Duncan. Whatever that lad at stoke we got complained about
Ok ok.... now.... i know its wrong to throw abottle at a bus right.. But. The BBC are lauding Russian fans for basically something really dangerous while all lfc fans are made out to be sum due to one drunk throwing a bottle. Proper BBC Salford bullshit this
I understood that. But can sell the deadwood. For a minute so though we couldn’t be in the market for Zouma.
They need cbs..I'm sure they will buy while appeal is on. I'm sure they will now be accelerating sarri going and new man's plans.
Citeh seem to be a definite https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47339005 Hope they get a big ban just so the rest of the league can compete fairly with them.
More has come out on uefa investigations. City paid Watford 150k for sancho at 14 but they actually paid more to his agent, 200k. Thus they are under investigation for illegal payments. I fully expect to see city drop 500mil this summer to prep for the transfer ban. Chelsea said to have 200mil to spend before sales. If lfc want a few players this summer they better buy early and not a direct target of these guys. If we are not also under investigation.
Big weekend at the bottom of the league. Newkie play Huddersfield at home. That's a must win game. West ham have already beaten Fulham Watford thrashed Cardiff Arsenal play Southampton at home Burnley play spurs A win for newkie could see them as high as 13th in table and 5 points clear of last relegation spot
