Now that we have made it past deadline day we have a pretty good idea of who we have for the season ahead (Barring perhaps another Centre back, Centre Forward or Wide player joining on loan in the next week)

Just a bit of fun to look back on next May:

    League Position: 10th
    Total Points: 68
    Leading Goalscorer: Jackson (10)
Player of the season Grant Ward
Surprise of the Season: Winning an FA cup match (Making 5th Round)
Flop of the season: Jordan Roberts (Curse of the Winger strikes again. Will be gone this time next year)
    Average attendance: 19,158

Any other metrics anyone wants to add then please feel free and I will update my predictions accordingly

Well this thread could lead to several chuckles come May.

    League Position: 15th
    Total Points: 56
    Leading Goalscorer: Jackson (9)
Player of the season Gwion Edwards
Surprise of the Season: I'm going to be negative here and say that we still don't manage to beat Norwich this season. Some supporters seem to think it's a given.

And then a couple of new ones, if you fancy them:

Flop of the season: Cole Skuse. Personally I think he'll struggle in Hurst's new system, but he will be retained for the sake of experience until finally being dropped.

Can we update these in January, Scowey? I'm getting nostalgic bathing in this heady optimism!

Well we were all miles out but the biggest shock here is Westy tipping Jackson!

You were right about the Portman Road catering - still rubbish. And Woolfenden could be Player of the Year ... at Swindon? Less said about that predicted play off spot though.

If we only take one thing from this season at least they could sort out the catering.

Maybe run a separate one from 1st January.

It's quite interesting reading back on our thoughts in September, you could feel the optimism coming through the screen.. 2 months is a very long time in football

I have to say I am a bit happier now we are all more or less united. The divisiveness of the Keane / Jewell / McCarthy / Hurst debacle has been wearing. At least now we all agree we’re screwed.

With relegation confirmed, let's all take a moment to laugh at our collective optimism and blind oversights.

We all got flop of the season correct. What we didn't realise was that we could have named anybody in the squad in that category!
