Turk of the Week Besiktas midfielder Tolgay Arslan, who will no doubt be joining Wolfsburg in January.
Irrelevant of Shaw. Is this the beginning of the end for United's financial power? Since SAF it has been downhill. Last seasons trophy haul was papering over cracks. Since when do they complain about wages? since managers repeatedly overpay and increase salaries in order to keep up with their rivals. Keeping hold of Ibra must be costing them plenty when they bought a replacement for his goals. Maybe saved a few grand a week letting Rooney go but they still let him go on a free. Also hiring and firing of managers must be costing them, something they didn't have to deal with as long as SAF was such long term. They are in trouble like a company issuing a profit warning.
Suppose it depends on Rose mate. If Rose goes then I'd definitely be all for getting Shaw, especially if Rose wants a move to Utd then a deal (that's on our terms) to see both players switch could work. Wouldn't mind a move for that Sessegnon though, looks like the future England LB (or LW!) for a number of years if he carries on.
Why are we linked with so many Turkish players when we never buy any? It's got to be one of the few nations (partially) in Europe that we haven't had a player from.
Maybe the Turkish press heard about a lazy mercenary of Turkish extraction being mollycoddled in North London and assumed it was us?
Oliver Bierhoff has suggested that the next step in Leon Goretzka's career should not be a "dream move" to Barca or Los Ladrones but a move to the Premier League, which has no doubt incurred the wrath of Bayern as Goretzka has been spoken about as the next Bundesliga standout to be chucked onto the Bayern conveyor belt. Given we've been linked with him on and off since late last season, and with him out of contract in June, the Levy needs to be on - not least because we're hardly the only Premier League team interested.
Perhaps our new DOF has put a stop to that. It does nothing to help the players think clearly about "their true worth".
I honestly think it's a subtle form of incentivisation: if you want the pic of Poch's arm around you as you sign a contract, work your way into the first team and it will happen. Winks is the perfect example of how this works. When he signed his first contract with the club in the summer of 2015, which was a two year deal with the option for a third year, this was the official photo please log in to view this image A year later, after signing a contract until 2021, the photo was more along the lines of what we can expect As evidenced by the official photo for the second extension he signed in February please log in to view this image Of course this doesn't explain the phenomenon of Winks getting paler in every photo.
The Sun's speculating that Swansea will make a loan move for KWP in January, which almost seems to be some cosmic joke at Kyle Naughton's expense.

Could be good for him. Thought he should've had more game time during Rose's absence and Aurier's settling in period. Playing regular Premier League football would be great for his development.
I agree PNP. After an impressive debut against Newcastle followed closely by a new contract, I'm surprised we haven't seen more of him. There have been a couple of games where we've played defenders out of position - most notably the cup match against the scum in claret - where he was surely the logical solution. Not sure what has happened since that opening game but given his promise and Aurier playing in the mode of circa 2013 Walker, it does seem a shame. Perhaps the MOTM award and new contract went to his head and this is Poch showing some tough love?
I don't think we need doubt MP's ability to bring youngsters on to the best advantage he's probably monitoring his development following his exposure to the PL and has a plan. I'm sure he has a plan.
