If Everton got a decent wedge plus Bony for Stones, that'd be an immense signing for them, esp if the rumoured 50-60m Lukaku bids were to materialise too.

So what was the statement all about

Were putting takeover talks on hold till afte rthe transfer window to concentrate on squad strengthening (squad depleting)

Makes the current situation of not signing Anyone even more bizarre

How did the allams pass the fit to own a club rule

If they once were fit to run us they definatly arnt now

I wouldn't trust them to sit the right way round on a toilet !

I've been thinking of some of the words that can be used to describe or illustrate the Allam's behaviour in the last few months. Vindictive seems most appropriate, petty also makes sense, but I have to use the word illogical when you consider they are supposed to be businessmen selling an asset. I could use some other words but they would definitely be slang for the going forth and multiplying variety.

Try bizarre.

This is a very odd situation.. If we are in fact close to being sold, surely the new owners are aware we desperately need new players... and even though the takeover is meant to go through in September, there must be something they can do to insure we get players in before deadline day.

Otherwise they are paying all this money for a Premier League club but are destined to be relegated without players this summer..
