In normal circumstances I'd be happy to label Diame a mercenary, but I think we need all the mercenaries we can get at the minute just to fill the squad.

How many players do we have now? Four? Five?

Exaggerating I know, but the powers that be must have been aware of a release clause like this for one of our most important players, and planned accordingly. Either to get a replacement ready (ideally plotted with Steve Bruce, instead of arrogantly believing it will fall into place if we just force him out) or by tying him down to a proper deal immediately after his goal got us up.

But no. Get rid of the manager, with no back-up plan, go on holiday and forget about little details like contract clauses. Amateur.

Go on then, it's the second time you've written that, I'll bite. Diame was an employee of the SECOND biggest basket case club in Premier League history, he's French, he has no affinity with Hull, or Hull City. He's gone to a club who have, an easy guess, offered him more money than he's on now with more to come when/if they're promoted this coming season, he's gone to a club who actually look like they've finally got their act together, he's gone to a club where he'll be working with a manager who has won honours at top clubs all round Europe. If you don't think that EVERY player in our squad wouldn't be out of the door in a flash, given the same opportunity as Diame then I'm guessing you're probably as daft as I think you are. Mercenary? If you say so ...... he's a paid athlete with a short shelf life - he owes us ****-all.

Edited to add the word SECOND .... how could I forget poor old ****ed up Pompey?

Apart from the first line I pretty much agree with that.

I agree with all the above
However what really rankles is all the bile they spout when it suits about being supportive of the club etc etc.
They are all after the money wherever it comes from.
Was surprised ,as was Bruce,that he didn't leave in either of the two previous transfer windows

They're never gonna tell the truth are they Augusta? How would ''well, I'm really glad to be at Hull City now they're in the Premier League, paying me PL wages and bonuses, I gotta tell you though, I have a doozie of a get-out clause in my contract for when we're relegated, should that happen i'll be moving on annd repeating this statement''

It's all a game mate, I think Dean Windass (mebbe Ian Ashbee) was the last player to really love playing for us ...... the rest just pay lip service.

Agree with all you say but when i posted about Totti saying loyalty to your club is the best feeling. Posters sneered at it.
