Absolutely no link of substance to any player before the owner/manager situation is sorted, and I wonder what player of the quality we need will be available by the time this happens...guess we'll be left with the dross, and playing catch up again.

I'm sure BCC will check me on this, but I'd really like to see us splash out for Berardi at Sassuolo. Pretty sure he's no longer Juve's player after they bought out his co-ownership deal. Only 21 and a proper talent. Nobody linked to him from Britain and would be a good foil for Hernandez. Like, baco-foil good.

Inter are today being linked with Beradi at a total outlay (fee plus wages) of 50m euro. Bit rich for us I think:

I've had a quick look at every Premier League club to see which strikers they bought from abroad, I've only included players who've done okay and cost £10m or less. The bigger clubs have mainly big money signings, so not many fell into this category and some clubs like Burnley and Palace have pretty much all English strikers (I've also added a few players currently playing who were originally brought to the Premier League from abroad by other clubs):

Arsenal - Giroud - Montpellier £9.6m
Bournemouth - Rantie - Malmo - £2.5m
Burnley - Hennings - Karlsruher - £3m (only played in the Championship so far).
Chelsea - Nobody currently who wasn't a big money signing (though they have Remy who QPR bought from Marseille for £8m)
Crystal Palace - Nobody currently.
Everton - Nobody currently (though they have Lukaku who Chelsea bought from Anderlecht for £10m)
Hull City - Hernandez - Palermo - £9.5m
Leicester - Okazaki - Mainz - £8m
Liverpool - Origi - Lille - £10m (they also have Benteke who Villa bought from Standard Liege for £7m)
Man City - Pretty much everyone was a big money signing, though they did sign Iheanacho last year for very small compensation fee.
Man Utd - Nobody currently (the last was Hernandez from Guadalajara for £8m)
Middlesbrough - No recent Premier League involvement.
Southampton - Pellè - AZ Alkmaar - £8m.
Stoke - Arnautović - Werder Bremen - £2m. (also Joselu from Hanover for £5.75m and Krkić from Ajax for £1.3m).
Sunderland - Nobody currently (though they have Borini who Liverpool bought from Roma for £10m)
Swansea - Ayew - Free Agent - signed on a free, but with a £5.7m signing on fee.
Tottenham - Nobody currently.
Watford - Ighalo - Signed on a free due to a dodgy deal with Udinese.
West Brom - Nobody under £10m , the closest they get is Rondón - Zenit - £12m.
West Ham - Sakho - Metz - £3.75m.

Today's completely made up City links...

Hull City are said to be one of three Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Eyong Enoh ahead of him becoming a free agent (30 year old at Standard Liege).

Midfielder Patrik Hrosovsky, who is reported to be attracting interest from West Bromwich Albion and Burnley, is also said to be a player Hull have taken a look at (he might play for Slovakia tonight).

The most important thing is to have a manager who can get the best out of what we have.

Some players are currently playing over seas but have domestic experience. I mentioned him before his four goal haul against Mexico, but I would love to see us go after Vargas. Would communicate well with Hernandez, and looked decent for QPR when he played.
I agree about Vargas. Chile has a bunch of tough players that I think would do well for us.
