...will be another procession for Mercedes, probably Hamilton. But gives me an excuse to draw your attention an excellent programme by, of all people, Jeremy Irons, on Graham Hill, showing on BBC2 now, called Racing Legends. Irons is clearly a huge fan. I never knew that Hill entered the Indy 500 in 1966, and became the first rookie ever to win it, a $160,000 prize. Also pictures of his team mate Jim Clark's car after his fatal crash at Hockenheim in 1968. Virtually nothing left of it. Amazingly, Irons gets to drive a 1969 Lotus, with the nuts 4 foot high wing, in which Hill won the championship in the last race. I had also forgotten that, at 40, he came back froma horrible crash in which both his legs were smashed, when many doubted he would ever walk, let alone race, again. Oh, he won Le Mans as well, after his accident. The only man ever to win the F1 World Championship, Indy 500 and Le Mans. Great stuff, cheered me up no end.
...back to this season, what's the betting that the Malaysian Grand Prix start will be delayed by rain, and finish when it's getting dangerously dark. One day Bernie's greed for European TV revenue will be put to one side and they will realise that it pours with rain at roughly the same time every day in Equatorial countries. little ****er has already lost the German Grand Prix, he'll be relying on his state pension soon.
Cheers Stan, I like this thread already! I used to be an F1 fanatic, despite my interest waning in more recent years I still keep an eye on the grand prixes etc. I will cut straight to the point and ask why are McLaren Formula 1 so pony these days? Being patriotic still I will always be a Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button fan. For such a well funded team I just don't buy into the not enough testing time/laps on the track excuse. There was a lot of questions being asked into why Lewis jumped ship to Mercedes but fair play to him now. Also really chuffed to see Williams back where I think they belong challenging again.
I lost interest in F1 a few years ago. Find it a boring procession race after race. The prices they charge are scandalous and not worth the money. I will have a glancing interest at best.

I used to love f1 and I used to go to Barcelona for the Spanish gp, it was the cheapest in Europe (about £30 for a weekend ticket) but now I've got bored with it. If you like proper racing and have BT sport the MotoGP season starts this weekend.
Unlike most on here I love F1. Huge Hamilton fan and enjoy that he puts his all on the line each week and drives with his heart on his sleeve. Hoping for this season to be a cakewalk for him, with an excellent battle between Red Bull, Williams and Ferrari for second place in the constructors and third in the driver's.
The start times of five Grands Prix, including Australia, Malaysia and Japan, have been brought forward by one hour in the 2015 season. Early start time to reduce risk of rain delay 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix weather As for living on his state pension you will have more experience of that than me!
